  PitStopStrategies with fuel consumption off

Me again with a funny problem...

I am currently playing with the setting "Fuel consumption off". In addition, I have defined the pit stops of all drivers in the gdb files of the individual tracks under PitStopStrategies. But now it's the case that all AI drivers drive into the pits in the first few laps to "refuel" and then don't drive into the pits for the rest of the race. In the first few laps pit stops are made at random. It also seems to be different every time I start a race on the same track with the same settings...

Does anyone know a solution? Or is there perhaps another possibility for races without refuelling, as has been the case since 2010?

  F1C 1981 Race-by-Race Mod released

Daniel and I have finished a race-by-race CREW-style mod for 1981. It can be downloaded in three files:

The separate audio file is commentary you may or may not want to use. Be sure to use the tracks because I spent a lot of time making the signage more accurate, especially around starting lines.

The mod is intended to be a standalone; it should be written over a new F1C installation (without the '99-'02 Seasondata, of course).

  AIW fix for a track that I found

Since I am now experimenting with taking the driving assists off in F1challenge, I felt that it would be worth asking if anyone would be able to fix this tracks AIW file? For some reason, there are points on the track where the ai opponents just flip out and drive straight into a wall or crash into the inside of a corner that has a wall right behind the rumble stripping. Which in turn pretty much takes them out of the race by means of parts breaking off of them like a tire other piece.

  F1C performance

I can't make my game run on my dedicated GPU, it only runs on the integrated GPU, and because of it the game lags in races when there's a lot of cars together... My PC is able to run it properly without any lag tho... What can I do?

  Game wide steering assist bug which slows up cars at the wrong time

So I am probably one of those few who still utilize the steering assist which F1 challenge allowed. What I would like to ask is if anyone knows how to fix, or at least why does the ai and your car when using auto steering slow down at strange points on a track? This is not just with mod tracks, but is something that happens on the stock tracks which come with the game by default. The worst offenders I have found with this issue are Monza, Silverstone, Imola, and Hockenheim all the way up to 2001. Basically if you set your steering assist to the F12001 configuration in the player file, the assist works for the most part, however, when you enter corners of straights which are not perfectly straight such as the first sector on the old Hockenheim, the car will for no reason at all just slam on the brakes as if it was afraid that it would lose control. The best way to reproduce this potential bug is to set your auto steer to F12001 style in the player file, and then choose a track like Silverstone, which is a perfect example of what I am talking about. You will come flying into Stowe corner for example, end then on the exit you will slow down for no reason at all. All of which is happening well before the Club Corner chicane's braking point. If anyone knows why or how to fix this issue, please do let me know as I for the love of me, cannot figure out why or how to fix this issue in one of the greatest F1 games ever made in my opinion. Huh

  Random recurring ctd's

I have a weird problem:

Sometimes the game just crashes in the middle of the race. Sometimes about halfway through the race, sometimes towards the end. But never early in the race. Unfortunately there is nothing in the trace file that would cause the CTD.

The curious thing is: This is a recurring problem and it seems to "ssettles down" in the mod. Currently I'm playing the GA 2009 Mod. Until Hungary everything went well. During the Hungarian race, the CTD suddenly happens. Since then it happens again and again - in every race.

I had the same issue with RH2004 and 2006JXP, for example. In the beginning everything runs smoothly, suddenly there is a ctd in one race and then it repeats in every race...

Does anyone have an idea? I am clueless...

Hi everyone!

I made a 1981-2008 F1C Realism mod and I want to share it with others.

This mod includes seasons 1981-2008 with:
- updated CAR PHYSICS (.HDV and Engine files for every car from 1981 to 2008);
- updated .GDB files for all circuits from 1981 to 2008 to indicate the right setups for AI and the true RaceEvents;
- updated .RCD files for every driver to more realistic AI permormance;
- updated SETUPS based on RH2004 setups for every circuit 1981-2008;  

So, as a RESULT, you have much more REALISTIC AND COMPETITIVE RACES with REAL HISTORIC PACE OF CARS, DRIVERS' ABILITIES and MECHANICAL FAILURES.

Also, this mod is not changing any graphics or sounds, just physical characteristics of the cars by modifying the key parameters (downforce, weight, drag, etc.) in their .HDV 
and engine files and some other things.
